Hi Debra,
Hi. Love your website & all the info.
I suffer from many illnesses & sensitvities, including MCS.
I am in desperate need of a new hand-held shower head, that is latex-free & preferably USA made.
Can you recommend a company or product? I tried a High Sierra shower head that met this criteria, but the water flow was just too forceful for my skin & vascular condition.

I have no way of knowing the water force of various hand held shower heads so…
Readers? Can you make a suggestion from your experience?
If you have a shower head you like, I would call up a hardware store or home improvement store and ask them for something you can screw in-between the pipe and the shower head to lower the water pressure. These should be easy to find because they are used to conserve water.
I purchased ours from a company called Aquasana. We have been very pleased with them. The water flow is easily adjusted.

Cathleen, in terms of gentle spray, you might like to look at this one from Sprite. We first got it for our baby, but now we all use it. I don’t know if it meets your other criteria, but I think it could qualify as gentle enough. Sprite has other ones made of metal, which perhaps could work. I know some of them have 5 settings (massage, etc). In my previous experiences with massaging shower heads with various settings, some of the settings were rather intense and some were so weak I thought it might take forever to get the soap rinsed off, and some were just right. Perhaps a multi- setting massaging head would give you enough options in one shower head that you could find a just-right setting for you. I’ve seen ones with 5 or 8 settings. But again, this ” baby” one we have is pretty gentle.
